Introducing the new staircase for WSP’s office fit-out at World Square, Sydney. This project highlights WSP dedication to quality, sustainability, and cultural connection, making the staircase a centerpiece of the refreshed workplace.

The staircase features a unique corrugated perforated mesh balustrade, providing transparency and an airy feel to the space. Indigenous artwork by local artist Shane Youngberry adds cultural significance, while sustainable materials underscore Active Metal’s commitment to eco-friendly practices. The use of water-based paints and mill-finish mesh ensured that the environmental impact was minimised.

The organic curves and soft edges not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also promote employee collaboration by creating a welcoming and open environment. The design fosters interaction and connectivity, contributing to a dynamic and engaging workplace.
