Overview
Located within the UNSW Kensington Campus, the Tyree Energy Technologies Building is a truly remarkable feat of architecture and design. Boasting a magnificent central atrium with cantilevered stairs and link bridges and crowned with a unique roller-wave roof structure, the building is one that truly inspires innovation and energy awareness.
Active Metal were contracted to complete all the glazed balustrades to the structural steel staircases and link bridges, as well as the concrete stairs and void edges. Requiring a high level of site survey accuracy and coordination between trades, Active Metal completed the work on time and to an exceptional level of finish. Twin stainless steel posts complemented the laminated and toughened glass panels; combining to achieve a high load rating as well as superior aesthetics. Auxiliary stairs were installed with perforated metal balustrades.
