Overview
First opened in 1977, Town Hall House sits behind the iconic Sydney Town Hall and is home to the Sydney City Council. Due for rejuvenation, the building lobby and entries recently underwent significant changes as part of an eight floor revitalisation project which included a complete overhaul of the public areas and staff workspaces.
Constructed with the environment in mind, the refresh conveys the council’s objectives of openness and sustainability and communication and collaboration within the organisation. Active Metal was called in to complete a wide variety of brass-work, allowing the new works to sympathetically blend with the heritage needs of the location.
