Overview
The multi-million dollar redevelopment of Top Ryde City resulted in a spectacular new shopping precinct for the Ryde area. Further work was undertaken later to further improve the amenity and access of the centre and Active Metal was chosen to assist in achieving these goals as the balustrading and glazing contractor.
Work included the design, fabrication and installation of glazed balustrades and stainless steel handrails to stairs and landings as well as the glazed barriers to the sides of the new escalators, plus the triple laminated glazed landings. Retail projects don’t come without their own set of challenges, but the Active Metal team rose above the challenges of a live environment and night installation, enabling the shopping centre to continue operating as usual throughout the construction process.
