Previously based on National Circuit, MinterEllison has recently relocated into the world class premises at Constitution Place. The new precinct, developed by Capital Property Group, is located on the corner of London Circuit and Constitution Avenue in Canberra’s CBD. The central location has proximity to public transport, the court precinct and modern amenities to make Constitution Place a great home for MinterEllison in Canberra.
MinterEllison’s new workplace is nothing short of stunning, with district views to match. Across levels 10 and 11 of the building, located next to the ACT Legislative Assembly. Minter Ellison engaged Bates Smart to approach their workspaces design to facilitate innovation,collaboration and inspiration.
At the heart of the new workplace, a central spiral feature stair created by Active Metal vertically connects the two levels. Drawing people together to work and socialise around the library wall, with meeting zones on the lower floor, the stair elevates people to the upper floor where the stunning Canberra mountain view appears at the landing.
Interpreting the quiet sophistication of the design intent, the stair provides a special sense of elegance and sophistication to the space. Steel plate balustrades are seamlessly constructed and the 2 color palette of white and claret serve to amplify the elegance of the space, while presenting as a juxtaposition to the feature ceiling and indigenous artworks. One of the most beautiful workspaces we’ve been privileged to work in, to date.
