Overview
Recently undertaking a complete refurbishment and rebuild of their site in Mascot to create a world-class global headquarters, the QANTAS Hub is designed to unite employees in one cohesive space.
Included in the many new features of the fitout are the two identical staircases which link each of the four internal floors of buildings A and B. The stunning cross-axis stairs were designed by leading architects Hassell and engineered by Enstruct. Active Metal was commissioned to carry out the fabrication and installation of the stair structure, glazed balustrades and handrails. Whilst the time frame for the works was tight, Active Metal rose to the challenge, creating what is now an iconic central feature of the fitout.
