Work completed by Active Metal
Brass balustrades, brass grilles, bronze patina finishing, custom brass work to speakers console, colouring and construction methods to match pre-existing work.
Overview
Having worked on the initial building program, Active Metal were once again selected to carry out highly detailed brasswork in a recent refit and modification to the Lower House. The new Distinguished Visitor’s Gallery features solid flat bar brass balustrading with brass grills to the ventilation openings, all finished in an aged bronze patina. Detailed brass fabrication work to the refurbished Speakers bench was also completed to complement the balustrading and original brasswork.
To quote the Government project manager, the level of quality in this highly demanding environment truly was “the icing on the cake”.
