Connectivity is underscored strongly in SAP’s new HQ with the inclusion of this iconic staircase.
Overview
SAP’s new Australia and New Zealand Headquarters at 1 Denison in North Sydney showcases the best of flexible, collaborative and connected workplace design. It provides a sleek and inspiring space for SAP’s people, partners and customers to come together, innovate, collaborate and enjoy the social side of work, while infusing SAP’s brand identity and corporate culture into the built environment.
The new facility houses all of SAP’s brands in the same building for the first time, across three levels and a total of nearly 6,000 square metres. Reflecting SAP’s “new strategic focus on a simplified and streamlined experience for its people and customers”, the space was designed by award winning interior designers WMK and delivered by distinguished fit out builders FDC Construction and Fitout.
The workplace design sought to reflect the German software giant’s new strategic focus to provide a streamlined, simplified and collaborative experience for both customers and staff. SAP told The Australian that the new headquarters supports the company’s aim of “creating a simple and streamlined experience for our customers, by bringing together our brands in one office for the first time.”
It added “The events of this year will permanently change how offices operate, but SAP has long supported an anytime, anywhere flexible working policy. Our office design reflects this, with significant areas dedicated to co-working, co-innovation and collaboration, for our people to use whatever their working preferences.”
A long term resident of North Sydney, SAP has taken a quantum leap in embracing the potential of one of North Sydney’s newest and tallest skyscrapers, 1 Denison.
Integral to all multi-level tenancies, with SAP being no exception, is the inclusion of an internal connecting staircase. Underpinning the term connectivity in a very real and physical way, the iconic staircase at SAP by Active Metal is a statement of architectural design, a focal point of the fit-out and a means of connecting many hundreds of SAP teams working in 1 Denison.
