Overview
Handling more than 12 million passengers a year, Sydney International Airport is a space that is constantly buzzing with energy as travellers head off on flights all around the world. Recently launched, the new Heinemann Duty Free offers a unique shopping experience for international travellers with an extensive selection of perfumes, cosmetics, wine and spirits, confectionery, tobacco products and more.
Inspired by Sydney’s beautiful harbour, beaches and laid-back sophistication, the fitout features uniquely Australian aspects of design, including metal jacaranda trees which were fabricated and installed by the Active Metal team. Active’s work on the project also included the fabrication and installation of key design features such as the feature ceilings and awnings.
