Overview
Desiring to create a range of spaces that encourage interaction and movement throughout the workplace, this project required a central staircase that would promote the free movement of staff between the various work zones. Sculptural-like in appearance, this stair augments the essentially collaborative nature of the fitout whilst also acting as a key design element.
Executing every facet of the staircase install, Active Metal’s involvement in the stairs included design development, detail fabrication, supply and installation of the structural steel beams, architectural stairs, joinery and glazed balustrades and handrails. The team ensured the stair was finished to perfection, also completing the plaster linings inside and under the stairs as well as the paint finishes, rubber flooring and joinery to the lower part of the stairs.
