Overview
Located in key business and connectivity hubs, the Global Switch data centre provides data solutions to a broad range of customers, global and national, large and small who outsource their business critical IT infrastructure. Requiring a fitout which reflected their world class services, the company engaged The DEM Group to provide a design that was both impressive and efficient, desiring to be one of only a handful of buildings in the work to target a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) platinum rating.
Active Metal’s work in the lobby and main entrance of the building included the entry staircase, glazed balustrades and stainless steel handrails. Ensuring access for all, Active Metal’s works also included a glazed balustrade with stainless steel handrails to an internal ramp as well as stainless steel bollards and glazing to the accessible lift.
