As a business that prides itself non a core of close collaboration, both with employees at all levels, and with our clients, it is not surprising to see that multi-level staircases are central to their office interior designs. The new Sydney office designed by Bates Smart and delivered by MPA, is elegant and contemporary, and Active Metal were ecstatic to deliver the architectural staircases in yet another BCG office .
The unique design features a green tinted glass balustrade design with curved sections that deliver a somewhat art-deco aesthetic. Timber handrails in a lime wash finish tie in with the stone treads. With you every step of the way could also be the mantra for Active Metal as you ascend via the 2 architectural staircases to the upper level.
With collaboration and the opportunity for unplanned and often inspirational social encounters between staff, commercial stairs are more and more seen as a conduit for networking in the modern office environment. Reducing the load on the building elevators also helps, as does a little chance exercise.
