Overview
Global leader in online networking, Cisco Systems, recently commissioned Sydney-based architects Futurespace and Singapore-based studio SCA Design to create their new Sydney workplace in accordance with their global designed standards – the ‘Cisco Connected Workplace’.
Reflective of the popular flexible workspaces, the space has been designed to allow staff to use a variety of spaces throughout the day to fit whatever job they are doing at the time. Connecting each of these spaces was the straight flight staircase designed and constructed by the Active Metal team. The distinguished design fits seamlessly into the modern space with its lime washed oak finishes and glass balustrades. A neat design feature is the incorporated extensive plinth base that serves as an elevated dais in the centre of the workspace.
