Overview:
Officially opened by the Prime Minister in March 2013, the Centre for Carbon, Water + Food has been built to support the University of Sydney’s substantial commitment to supporting land and food production with evidence based research. In the words of the architect “it stands as a landmark, reflecting the importance of delivering sustainable initiatives to protect the land and address issues associated with carbon, food and water management”.
Active Metal was chosen as the sub-contractor of choice for handrails, balustrades and staircases on this landmark development. Starting inside, the Active Metal team completed two staircases with glazed balustrades, mild steel elements and stainless steel handrails and then moved outside to complete all of the centre’s stainless steel handrails and galvanised balustrades.I be
