A spectacular sensory journey to celebrate the notion of ‘modern reflection’ in a collaborative workspace through a carefully crafted spiral staircase.
Brookfield is a global alternative asset manager that invests in long-life, high-quality assets and businesses in more than 30 countries around the world. In Australia, Brookfield has a large business that consists of a diverse real estate, infrastructure and private equity portfolio across key cities.
Located in the heart of Sydney’s central business district in Brookfield Place, the new Australia headquarters for Brookfield comprises 6,626 square meters across three levels. The office was designed by the multi-award winning architect Bates Smart and constructed by the leading global construction company Multiplex. The new workspace design reflects the company’s strong brand values with a restrained material palette of white, polished stainless steel, marble and deep ochres. Taking cues from modernist design ideas of geometry and form, the interior reveals a gallery-like space that showcases Brookfield’s diverse global portfolio and commitment to quality.
Dramatically connecting the three-story office is a large sculpture-like full-turn spiral staircase by Active Metal that reaches over 7 meters in height and has a diameter of more than 5 meters. While greeting staffs and visitors upon arrival, the architectural helical staircase adds a spectacular yet clean and minimalist twist to the center. The staircase is fabricated in steel plate and finished in an artisan quality polished plaster.
A truly magnificent and artistic piece that we have proudly to have brought to life in this incredible workspace.
