Structural steel support beams, structural steel stairs (cantilevered switchback style), glazed balustrades, black finish patch fittings, stainless steel handrails, Forbo vinyl finishes to treads and risers.
Overview:
Aiming to be “the leader of exceptional client service”, BDO required an office environment that inspired and connected employees to encourage collaboration and inclusion whilst stimulating knowledge sharing and inspiring creative thinking.
Linking levels 8 to 10, the impressive inter-tenancy stairway, designed by Hassell, created by Active Metal, appears to be suspended in space; resulting in an uncluttered appearance, made possible by the hidden support beams in the ceiling zone and the strength of the stair stringer design. Completing a turnkey package, Active Metal’s work also included the structural glass balustrades, stainless steel handrails, paint finishing and floor coverings to the stair.
