Overview
Australia’s most successful tech company, Atlassian, have a new office environment that most office workers could only dream of. Set in the heart of the Sydney CBD, their George Street headquarters is a physical manifestation of the business with the company’s core values working as design principles.
Looking around the office, you won’t see stark and uninviting cubicles – you’ll see employees having lunch with friends or family at a booth in the kitchen or colleagues catching up in one of the comfy breakout areas. The company encourages employees to use the stairs to move between floors and Active Metal worked to create a switchback stair design to match the innovative vibe of the building. With an industrial aesthetic and incorporated green wall, the stair is as much a part of the design as the unique soundproof meeting bubbles and 90’s themed spaces.
