Overview

The gas and energy giant APA Group has a great slogan – “energy.connected”. And for their new offices in George St it is just that, but this time it is a set of stairs connecting the energy of their two office floors, not a pipe!

Requiring a staircase as part of a forward thinking collaborative fitout design, the structural steel staircase was designed and created by Active Metal in partnership with Siren Design. Featuring mesh balustrades to provide an industrial aesthetic, the design was clean and simple. Vinyl treads match the flooring used throughout the building, whilst glazed balustrades help natural light to flow through the space whilst creating a sense of connection.
