Pool handrails, glazed balustrades, timber handrails
Overview
Designed to be a recreation destination where individuals can meet, exercise and socialise, the newly refurbished Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre appeals to a range of user groups, interests and abilities. Featuring a lap pool, heated program pool, wellness centre and leisure pool, the centre offers year-round opportunities for participation in leisure.
Active Metal was selected to design and install a distinctive balustrade which combines forest red gum timber handrails and glazed balustrades with contrasting mirror polished junctions. Displaying Active Metal’s skill in bringing diverse elements together, this balustrade was completed along with other elements such as polished and passivated pool handrails and an extensive glazed boundary fence.
