Overlooking Wynyard park and just moments away from the city centre, 50 Carrington Street is among the best positioned buildings in Sydney’s CBD. Despite its location, the property was struggling amidst the highly competitive leasing environment as age was certainly taking its toll. Acquiring the building in 2012, Dexus saw the opportunity to reposition and add value to the property with a smart refurbishment.
Taking a non-traditional approach, Dexus in partnership with BVN Architects, broadened the potential tenant pool by transforming the ground floor lobby, lifts and vacant floors, giving the building a new lease of life. Active Metal are pleased to have been able to facilitate the success of the redesign with their customarily high quality of workmanship evidenced in the glazed balustrades and stainless steel work to the lift openings.
