Stair Inspiration: Architectural Spiral Staircase in Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait.

Architecture firm Gensler has completed a pair of towers in Kuwait city featuring facades that recall traditional Arabic Screens, which contain an iconic Four Seasons Hotel interiors designed by Yabu Pushelberg.

A notable feature of the interior is an illuminated 43-foot spiral staircase that forms the centerpiece in the minimalist lobby. The organic shape of the stair resembles a giant orange peel. The surreal structure wouldn’t look out of place in one of Gaudi’s buildings or in a scene from Enid Blyton’s The Faraway Tree, either.
It’s an artisan piece that architecture and hotel enthusiasts that can not go past.
