Marsk Double Helix Tower by BIG

As you may know, Active Metal Pty Ltd are passionate about spiral stairs, especially if it is a double helix. Today we draw inspirations from a recent opened landmark in Denmark – The spiraling observatory, Marsk Tower.
Rising above 25 meters, the Marsk Tower was designed by the architect BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group. The structure was inspired by a DNA strand with two different staircases – one for walking upstairs, one for walking downstairs, with an elevator at its center. The Staircases were constructed in corten steel, for its strength, low maintenance and aesthetic appeal that melds with the surrounding natural environment.
